Margaret Ann Parent, 79, of East Falmouth passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at the McCarthy Care Center after a courageous battle with ALS.

Margaret was born in Stanstead, Quebec. She is survived by her daughter Sharon Marshall and son in law Peter Marshall of West Falmouth and her beloved grandchildren Kristen Marshall and Nicholas Marshall, also of West Falmouth. She is also survived by her sisters Louise Parent of Sherbrooke, Quebec and Carmen Allaire of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, and her brothers Denis Parent of Stanstead, Quebec, and Raymond Parent of Stanstead, Quebec, as well as many nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her parents Jules Parent and Eileen Carlin, her brothers Edouard Parent, Albert Parent, Hugh Parent, and her sisters Mary Thibault and Elizabeth Parent, as well as her nephew Andre Parent.

Margaret was an avid country line dancer and Boston Bruins fan. She was a parishioner of Saint Anthony’s Church. She was very involved with her grandchildren’s lives. She loved attending all of Kristen’s figure skating shows and Nicholas’ baseball games. During the summer, she could be found tending to her peony flowers.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony’s Church, 167 E. Falmouth Hwy., East Falmouth on Saturday, February 25 at 10AM. Burial will be private.
