MITZA, Joanne (White) Of Burlington, formerly of Somerville and Medford, passed away on December 26th, at Winchester Hospital following a 2-year battle with ALS.

Beloved wife of Joseph J. Mitza, Jr. Loving mother of Joseph Mitza, III and his wife Elizabeth of Burlington, and the late Christopher Mitza. Cherished “Nanny” to Greta Mitza of Burlington. Sister of William White and his wife Elaine of Nahant, Patricia White of Burlington, the late Maryanne White Barresi and Jean Marie Tabor of North Port, FL. Special niece to Delores Landry and her family of Burlington. Also, survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visiting Hours will be held at the Edward V Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON, on Thursday, December 30, from 4-7 p.m. Funeral from the Funeral Home on Friday, December 31, at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Malachy Church, in St. Veronica Parish, www.stveronicama.org , 99 Bedford St., Burlington, at 10 a.m. Burial will be private. The family requests that people attending the Wake please wear masks and the church requires masks be worn at the Funeral Mass.
