Bronxville, Formerly of Scarsdale – James Carforo, of Bronxville and Clearwater Beach, East Hampton, NY, passed away after a courageous battle with ALS on June 25, 2021. Beloved husband of Patricia and Loving Father of Maggie. Dear brother of Rachelle, David and Peter. Uncle to four nieces and friend and mentor to many others. Jim was a special education teacher for 37 years as well as being a union activist and mentor. He was always actively involved in each community in which he resided.
Calling hours at the Fred H. McGrath & Son, Funeral Home, Bronxville, between the hours of 4 to 8 pm Thursday, funeral service will be held at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, St. Francis of Assisi Chapel, on Friday July 2 at 11 am. In Lieu of flowers contributions are encouraged, in Jim’s memory to Compassionate Care ALS, CCALS.ORG
