Obituary: John Benjamin Michaud

John Benjamin Michaud, 68, died peacefully after a courageous battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS/Lou Gehrig’s Disease) on March 2, 2012.

He was born on July 11, 1943 in Worcester, MA.

John married Maureen Purcell on September 11, 1965.

He worked his way through school earning his Bachelor’s degree from Clark University and his Master’s degree from Southern New Hampshire University. Prior to retiring he held various senior financial positions with Massachusetts Hospital Association, Nielsen Molding and Teleflex Medical.

John enjoyed bowling, playing cards, automobiles and any home improvement project. His most cherished interest was spending time with his loving wife Maureen and their children, grandchildren and extended family and friends. He cherished their many visits and everyone gathering for Sunday dinner.

Active lector at St. Patrick’s parish in Milford, NH for over 25 years.

Survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Maureen Michaud, their three children, Michael Michaud, Theresa Michaud, and Angela Littlefield; daughter in-law, Marcie Michaud and son-in law Mark Littlefield; four grand children, Arabella Littlefield, John Finn Littlefield, Michael Michaud and Julia Michaud; his sister Judith Delisle and her husband Tom; and many nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Julia Michaud and his brother Richard Michaud.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at 9:30 am at St. John Neumann in Merrimack, NH with a Celebration of Life meal to follow at the Bedford Village Inn. The family will also have a memorial mass in Worcester in April celebrating John’s life with a meal to follow at the Four Seasons restaurant.
