Obituary: Ida Triano

Ida (Puggioni) Triano, 77, of Framingham, died July 7, 2013, at her beloved Framingham home, peacefully surrounded by her family.

Born January 20, 1936 in New York, NY to Paolino and Alfonsina Puggioni, she grew up in Brooklyn, graduated from Bay Ridge High School in 1953. While at her position as secretary to the Chief Architectural-Structural engineer at Ebasco Services, Inc. of New York City, she met her loving and dedicated husband of 52 years, the late Nicholas P. Triano Jr. of Framingham who died in November 2012.

Ida loved and cared for her husband, children and grandchildren and took great pride in her home, first and foremost. But she was also an avid and gifted gardener, cook, and artist. She was especially gifted at quilling, sewing and crocheting, and delighted many with framed wedding invitations, adorned with her quilling, for friends and family. She was especially proud, as a city girl, of obtaining her drivers license in her mid-thirties. For many years she was secretary for the Framingham Elementary Summer School, as well as a substitute secretary for the Framingham Elementary Schools. Ida was also a longtime active member of the Simpson Park Garden Club.

She is survived by her four children Nicholas P. Triano III and his wife Jane of North Andover; Anthony, of Keene, NH; Ida, of Framingham; and Paula Edwards and her husband Rick, of Natick; her grandchildren Lydia and Nicholas Triano IV of North Andover, and Colin, Paige and Alexander Edwards of Natick; her sister Tomasina Marie (Puggioni) Ranno of Monroe Township, New Jersey; and many cousins, relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Thursday July 11, at 9 AM from the Norton Funeral Home, 53 Beech St. (Corner of Union Ave.) Framingham, followed by her funeral Mass at 10 AM in St. George Church, 75 School St., Framingham. Burial will follow in the family lot in St. Patrick Cemetery, Natick. Visiting hours at the funeral home are Wednesday July 10 from 4 to 8. In
