Day 2 Jacksonville
Terrific Weather Day!
The day began at Jacksonville National Cemetery as Diane’s mother was buried there and it was so close to where we were passing through. It’s such a peaceful place and a great way to begin the ride. The weather started at 70 and climbed to 84 but we did a good job hydrating and the winds felt cool as we were headed north. We have yet to see another cyclist on our ride which is so strange. All-in-all today was perfect except the last 10 miles of the ride over a bridge with minimum bike lanes. Georgia drivers were giving us a wide berth whenever they could which was very different than our experience in FL. Off to Savannah tomorrow.
