Mark Gionet, a Boxborough native, passed away on Wednesday, June 20th, 2018 after battling ALS for 10 months. He celebrated his 45th birthday just 5 days before his passing. Mark attended Acton-Boxborough schools and eventually settled in Acton with his late girlfriend, Leila. He was a skilled mechanic by trade. He was the beloved eldest son of the late Laurie Pacy and the first grandchild to the late Armando Porrazzo. He was known as “Bud” to his 7 younger siblings, the late Celeste Gionet, Ian Pacy, Ariane Pacy, Nathan Gionet, Angeline Pacy, Lawrence Pacy and Lorraine Pacy. He celebrated the arrival of his nephew Liam Pacy in February, and was the proudest Uncle out there. Mark had a love for Classic Rock and motorcycles. He will be greatly missed by many as he was such a gentle soul, a great listener and the kindest friend.

Like so many in his family, Mark was taken too soon from the genetic form of ALS, which has no cure. Any donations in honor can be made out to, Compassionate Care ALS P.O. BOX 1052 West Falmouth, MA 02574. All are welcome to attend the graveside service on Friday June 29th, 2018 at 10:00am at Mount Hope Cemetery, Central St. West Acton.
