Elizabeth A. (Varga) Robinson, 63, of East Falmouth, formerly of New Jersey and Connecticut, passed away August 21, 2023 at Cape Cod Hospital, after a courageous battle with ALS.
Elizabeth was born in Bridgeport, CT to the late Gizella (Szenczi) and Andrew Varga. Raised and educated in Stratford, CT, she had been living in East Falmouth since recently moving from New Jersey.
She was a graduate of Assumption University, where she first met her husband of 27 years, Michael. She worked in event planning and public relations for many years before channeling her passion of fitness and nutrition into a career as a fitness instructor. A gifted artist – her paintings and work were shared with her family and friends, marking special occasions and holidays. As an active parishioner in her church, she used her talents and energy to seek ways of enhancing the lives of others in the parish and the community as a whole. Her greatest joy in life had come from watching her son grow into the man that she was so proud of. Through the course of her illness, she lived with grace and positivity, only wishing she could do more to help others.
Elizabeth was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Msgr. Andrew G. Varga. She is survived by her beloved husband Michael J. Robinson and son Andy Robinson, both of East Falmouth. She also leaves sisters- and brothers-in-law Kathleen Hedge, Bryan Hedge, Pamela Robinson, and Keith LeBlanc, along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Her family would like to thank the many friends, family, and caregivers who offered their love and support over the last several years, bringing joy, laughter, and compassion to Elizabeth.
Visiting hours will be held in Chapman Funerals and Cremations 475 Main Street, Falmouth Sunday, August 27th from 4-7pm.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, August 28th at 10am at St. Anthony’s Church 167 E. Falmouth Hwy, East Falmouth.
Burial will be private, at a later date.
