Day 13- All the H’s

Holy heat and hills today! We did a double day today and made it to Richmond because there is rain expected tomorrow afternoon and Saturday for where we are going.  We started the ride in beautiful back country as we decided to do the longer, but what Google said was, The Best Route. Turned out the “best” bike route was on 17 miles of very rocky and not even dirt pathway. So, we had to back track and go the car directions avoiding highways. This put us on Route 1 for most of the way which had a lot of rolling hills. The temperature also climbed as the day progressed from 50s when we started to 90 when we finished.  The end of the ride ended on a busy road with lots of construction which was a little hairy.  Hopefully tomorrow morning we can get in a quick 30 before the rain comes.
