Amherst, MA – William (Bill) J. Cray III (81), longtime resident of Amherst, died on June 2nd.
The son of Bill and Alice Cray, he was born in Holyoke, raised in South Hadley, and graduated from UMass Amherst. He is survived by his wife Sabine (Haberland) Cray, daughter Jennifer Cray Meyer (Karl) of West Bolyston, MA, son Bill Cray (Krissy Safi) of Erie, CO, grandchildren Liam and Clara Cray, Taytum and Parker Meyer, sister Betty Morris of Wilmington, NC, twin Priscilla Hurley of Magnolia, MA, his brother-in-law Ted Haberland (Dianne) of Rochelle, VA, as well as nieces, nephews, an aunt and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother James T. Cray.
At Bill’s request, arrangements will be private. Donations may be made to Compassionate Care ALS (P.O. Box 1052, West Falmouth, MA 02574). Douglass Funeral Service is entrusted with arrangements.
