Tucker T. Wood, of Weymouth, passed away at his home after a long battle with ALS on March 10, 2022. He was 39.

Originally of Coventry, CT, Tucker was a talented athlete and musician with a degree in History from SNHU. He was an adored teacher at Hills & Falls Cooperative Nursery School in Newton, MA and enjoyed countless summers as the music instructor at the Fessenden Day Camp of Waltham. Tucker was creatively talented in so many ways. He used his passion and love for music to write and perform hip hop music for both adults and children. Tucker was an amazing photographer and showcased his talent capturing family, friends, events as well as a mission trip to Haiti. A lover of good scotch and beer, Tucker was always quick with a joke and known for his infectious personality and wit. He loved to cook, spend time with friends, travel and was an avid New England Patriots fan. His greatest joy was spending time with his beloved wife and daughter.

Beloved husband of Lauren I. (DelCogliano) Wood and loving father of Eloise J. Wood. Son of Russell and Catherine (Cary) Wood of Coventry, CT. Brother of Cameron “Cami” Blackey and her husband, Dean, of Norfolk, and MacKinnon Cote and her husband, Robert, of Hudson, NH. Son-in-law of Thomas and Judy DelCogliano of Halfmoon, New York. Brother-in-law of Tommy DelCogliano and Kelsey DelCogliano both of Troy, New York. Godson of Maureen Anderson and her husband Al of Coventry, CT as well as his bonus siblings, Katherine Romeo and her husband, Andrew, of Somers, CT, and Tyler Reeves of Waltham. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, and many close and caring friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday, March 17th, from 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Funeral services and burial will be private. A Celebration of Tucker’s Life will be held on Friday, March 18th, from 12-4pm at Raffael’s at South Shore Country Club, 274 South Street, Hingham, MA 02043.

The family would like to thank Dr. James Berry and the entire staff within the ALS Clinic at MGH, the team at Norwell VNA and Hospice as well as the ever important in-home PCAs. Each person has made a profound impact on Tucker, Lauren and Eloise over the past five years.
