Lynnfield – On Saturday, September 4, 2021, Theresa S. Klimowicz, loving mother and grandmother, passed away in her Lynnfield home at the age of 91, after a courageous battle with ALS.

Theresa was born on January 14, 1930, in Boston to William and Stephanie Saniuk. She was a graduate of Boston College School of Nursing. Theresa was a devoted Registered Nurse to countless patients for 50 years. She was a nursing instructor at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital for many years. A devout Catholic, she was a member of Our Lady of Assumption Church in Lynnfield and taught Children’s Catechism Classes. Prior to her illness, Theresa enjoyed gardening, trips to the Music Theatre and out to lunch with her dear friends, reading great novels, especially those involving international espionage, and traveling. She loved her family fiercely and was happiest when everyone gathered together at her home. Theresa made the holidays magical for her family with her delicious Polish cooking, beautiful decorating, and generous gift giving. Her home was a warm, inviting, and loving place. She was the loving mother to Kenneth Klimowicz of Lynnfield, Stephen Klimowicz and his wife Diane of MN, Philip Klimowicz and his wife Donna of Ipswich, and the late Christopher Klimowicz and his surviving wife Kathleen of PA. Theresa was the cherished grandmother of Katelyn, Gregory, Mitchell, Kristin, and Matthew Klimowicz, Michael Muller, and Stephen Young. She was predeceased by her siblings, Edward, William, Thomas, and Carolyn Saniuk. Theresa is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. The family will honor her amazing life with a private service to say their final goodbyes.
