Dr. Stephen B. Moss, PhD, passed away on October 7th, 2023, at the age of 71. He was a psychologist for over forty years, serving people across the Boston area, especially Bedford, Billerica, and Lexington, and continued to see clients up until his passing. He loved his work very much and was grateful for the opportunity to help people navigate many of life’s toughest challenges.
He was born in Battle Creek, Michigan, but raised his children and built his psychology practice in Massachusetts. He is survived by his wife, Janka Moss, his children Emily Heist Moss (Chicago, IL) and Jeremy Moss (Westwood, MA), and their respective partners Joshua Engel and Leslie Moss. He was also the excited and proud grandfather to Avery Moss. He has many beloved family members and friends across the country, especially the Zeleznik family in Ohio, the Weintraub family in Missouri, the Christie/Hemingway family in Florida, and Roger Smith in Northampton, MA.
He was pre-deceased by his parents, Albert and Ida Moss, and his sisters Kathryn Moss and Jennine Haught.
A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date. In honor of his life, the family would welcome donations in his memory to Compassionate Care ALS (Falmouth, MA).
