Dover – Shawn M. Kelley, 55, of Dover, passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2023 with family by his side, after a courageous battle with ALS. Shawn was born on June 24, 1967, a son of Gerald Kelley and the late Brenda Kelley.

Born and raised in Peterborough, and then Bedford, NH, Shawn was a graduate of Trinity High School. After high school, he attended Merrimack College where he earned his associate degree in business. He worked for his father Gerald Kelley at Kelley Solutions, Inc. and subsequently succeeded him owning the business with his sister Lisa Finneral. In 2021 he became the sole owner continuing to carry on the family tradition.

Shawn met his wife, Kerri Cassily in 2001, and the couple married in 2004. Kerri had two children, Kaitlin and Jonathan, and Shawn treated them as his very own. In 2005 he and Kerri expanded their family, having twins Ashley and Nicole. They bought a house and raised their family in Dover, New Hampshire where the family still resides.

Shawn’s biggest passion was golf, being a member of the Wentworth Country Club for many years. He also loved playing and watching basketball, and the Red Sox. He enjoyed getting together with his old fraternity brothers and was a devoted Merrimack Alumni. His greatest love was his family. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and loved watching all his children and grandchildren as they participated in their activities. He especially took pride in being a cheer dad to his daughters Ashley and Nicole, while they traveled the US through competitive cheer leading. He was also a do it your self-kind of guy always doing various updates to his home.
Shawn’s surviving family members include his wife Kerri Kelley, daughters Ashley Kelley, Nicole Kelley, Kaitlin Howard and husband Mike of South Berwick, ME, and son Jonathan Cassily of Dover. He leaves his father Gerald Kelley of Portsmouth, NH, sisters Lisa Finneral and husband Gary of Rye, NH, Eileen Balicki and husband Bill of Wayland, MA and brothers Chris Kelley and wife Christy of Raleigh, NC and Gerry Kelley of Naples, FL. In addition to his wife, children, and siblings he also leaves granddaughters, Karsyn, and Kennedy Howard.

Shawn is predeceased by his mother Brenda Kelley.
