GILSON, Robert Charles Of Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2026, at the age of 96. He was the beloved husband of the late Claire Ann (Feinberg) Gilson and a devoted father to Douglas Gilson and his wife Susan, Jean Concannon and her husband John, Abbie Daroff, and the late Beth Ames. Robert was a cherished grandfather to twelve grandchildren and a proud great-grandfather to twelve great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, March 22, at 1:45 PM at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon, Massachusetts. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Robert’s memory may be made to Compassionate Care ALS (CCALS), either by mailing a check to P.O. Box 1052, West Falmouth, MA 02574 or by visiting ccals.org/donate. He will be remembered with love and deeply missed by all who knew him.
