Seabrook – Richard “Rick” Cibos, a resident of Seabrook, New Hampshire, and his winter home in Estero, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2025, after a courageous five-year battle with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis).

He was the beloved husband of Kathleen (Bennett) Cibos, with whom he shared 44 wonderful years of marriage. Born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, on December 2, 1949, Rick was the son of the late George and Anita Nissley. He graduated from York College in Pennsylvania and went on to enjoy a 45-year career with Ryder System, Inc., retiring in 2016 as Vice President of National Sales. While at Ryder, Rick received the Ryder Roundtable Award of Excellence in 2023.

Rick’s greatest love and joy in life was his family. His world revolved around Kathy, his daughter Lisa, his son-in-law Brad, and especially his three cherished granddaughters—Caroline, Courtney, and Natalie. Whether it was a trip to Florida, a day at Seabrook Beach, or a round of golf at Spring Run Golf Club, Rick loved being surrounded by family, laughter, and the memories they created together.

He often shared his wisdom about life and the importance of education, regularly sending articles about finance and current events to the family group chat. Nothing made him prouder than watching his granddaughters achieve their goals.

Rick was happiest when golfing, traveling with Kathy, or attending his granddaughter’s many celebrations, graduations, and sporting events. He was an avid follower of the stock market, a devoted fan of all New England sports teams, and a passionate golfer. He also enjoyed reading The Boston Globe, The Wall Street Journal, and a wide variety of financial publications.

In addition to his wife, Kathleen, Rick is survived by his beloved chosen daughter, Lisa (D’Errico) Morgan, and her husband, Brad, of Chelmsford, MA; and by his three treasured granddaughters: Caroline of Warwick, RI (fiancé Griffen Leonard), Courtney, and Natalie of Chelmsford, MA. He also leaves behind his siblings Bobbye Ledgerwood (Dan), Eileen Gaenzle (Frank), and George Nissley (Gail) of Pennsylvania, and Tony Cibos (Chris) of Florida, along with several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Richard for a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, November 10, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the Saint Elizabeth of Hungary Mission Church, 1 Lowell Street, Seabrook, NH 03874.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rick’s memory to:
