SATKWICH, Peter J. Age 62, of Windham, NH, died peacefully on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family. Peter was born and raised in Somerville, MA.
He was married to his childhood sweetheart Linda for over 35 years. He graduated from Northeastern University with a degree in Engineering and worked as a Systems Engineer at Mercury Systems for 29 years. Peter was one of the most sincere and kind people this world has ever seen. He had a fantastic sense of humor and he was always making the people around him laugh. He made friends everywhere he went and was always willing to help others. Peter had a genuine curiosity for the world around him. He loved to learn about new places and to travel with his family. He had a wonderful sense of adventure that he passed along to his two daughters. Peter’s greatest joy was his family. He was fully invested in the dreams and hobbies of his loved ones. He always encouraged his daughters to pursue their goals and was their ultimate cheerleader. Peter attended every game, recital, tournament, or performance. He always helped his wife with her classroom, whether building bookcases, creating science experiments, or anything else that was needed. He thought anything his family was excited about was so interesting and always found a way to participate in or support their passions. Peter was also a skilled handyman and cook. He loved tackling home projects and building furniture. He enjoyed grilling, cooking meals together during the holidays, and trying out new recipes.
Peter is survived by his beloved wife Linda; his children Lauren and Tayla; as well as his innumerable extended family and friends who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Caroline; and father-in-law Arthur. Peter fought a courageous battle with ALS and maintained his humor throughout.
