ancy M. Powers (Elden), 61 of Andover, MA passed away Saturday June 1, 2024, at her home after a 3-year courageous battle with ALS. Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Mark. Devoted Mother of Daniel M. Powers, Jennifer E. (Powers) Visconti and her husband Devin, and Jillian M. Powers. Loving Grandmother of Emory J. Powers and soon to be born baby Visconti. She is the daughter of Geraldine (Sullivan) Fuller and the late Raymond H. Elden, Sr. She will be deeply missed by her siblings Joyce Elden and her husband Dana Pickard, Elizabeth and John Griffin, Kathryn and Robert Frongello, the late Raymond H. Elden Jr., Raynette Elden, and Robert and Christine Elden. As well as in-laws Stephen Powers, Richard and Ruth Powers, John and Julie Powers, Gerard and Megan Powers, in addition to her many nieces and nephews. And family goldendoodle Forrest.

Nancy cherished spending time with family and friends. Her positive energy, welcoming manner and kind personality attracted numerous close friendships, especially her beloved Bunko Ladies. She loved doing anything outdoors, going to the beach, hiking, cross country skiing or sitting by a fire. A passionate Boston Sports fan, particularly Red Sox and Patriots. She was an avid reader, a tireless watcher of Hallmark movies and loved to listen to music and dance in the kitchen.

Nancy was very involved in the community and spearheaded endless town programs and school events. She coached both her daughter’s Girls Softball teams spanning for 15 years. She also was a founder of the Andover Youth Services (AYS) Field Hockey Program. You would find her coaching, umpiring, refereeing or volunteering at town sporting events.

She was raised in Billerica and graduated from Billerica High Class of 1980. Then went on to graduate from Rivier University in 1984, with degrees in Math and Computer Science. Upon graduation she worked as a computer programmer at Honeywell Systems and Wang Laboratories. After raising her children, she worked as Executive Administrator for Segreve & Hall Insurance / Compass Financial for 10 years until disabled by ALS.

A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at 10am at St. Augustine’s Parish in Andover. Calling hours will be the day before, Tuesday, June 11, 2024, from 4-8pm at the Conte Funeral Home, 28 Florence St. Andover MA, 01810.
