Nancy Byrne Morrison of Westwood, MA lost her courageous battle to ALS on Tuesday, August 30, 2022. She passed peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones. She is survived by her beloved family Fred Morrison, Robert and Mary Morrison of Westwood, Scott and Maureen Morrison of Norfolk, Jennifer Morrison Lyons and John “Jake” Lyons of Medway, loving sisters Susan Byrne Barrett and Carolyn Byrne Eckhardt, and sister-in-law Marilee Byrne. Nancy was predeceased by her late parents William and Mary Byrne and brother David Byrne.

Nancy was the adored Grammy to Rachel, Devin, Stephen, Sean, Sarah, Declan, Dylan, Caroline, and Kelsey. She took so much joy in listening to their stories and accomplishments. Her infectious smile and laughter lives on in each of them.

Nancy loved spending time with family and friends. Whether it was at Sebago Lake in Maine with family and wonderful neighbors, or bingo, knitting, and sewing with her girlfriends, or dinners out with close friends, Nancy was always up for an adventure. She would always be the first person to volunteer to help anyone in need. She will forever be missed by many.

In the words of Elton John, “I hope you don’t mind that I put down in words, how wonderful life is while you’re in the world.”

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours in the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock St., Westwood on Monday September 5th from 4-8pm. Funeral Services and Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Nancy’s memory to the following organization, which was so very helpful during these last few months. The name says it all:
