Michael R. Giorgio 64, of Franklin, passed away peacefully at his home Sunday March 16, 2025. He was the beloved husband of the late Maria A. (Ferrara) Giorgio, who left us in 2024.

Born October 14, 1960 in Worcester, a son of Nicola R. And Barbara (LaPensee) Giorgio of Florida, he was a longtime resident of Franklin.

He was raised and educated in Worcester and was a graduate of the former Worcester Boys Trade School. Michael worked for the Town of Franklin School Facilities Department, also at Saia Warehouse in Wrentham and was a former meat cutter at Ferrara’s Market here in Franklin.

Mike enjoyed spending time with his wife, family and friends, watching Boston Bruins hockey and was a passionate cook. He was also a former Franklin Youth Soccer Coach.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his 2 sons; Vincenzo M. Giorgio and his wife Kris of Franklin and Marco R. Giorgio and his wife Carly of Bellingham, a brother Dean Giorgio of Florida along with sisters Melissa and Deenah of Florida.

Also surviving are his cherished grandchildren, Gianna, Arya, Damien and Austin.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Saturday March 22nd, at 9AM from the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Franklin at 10AM.

Burial will follow at the parish cemetery.

Calling hours are Friday March 21st, from 4-7PM.
