Marshall V. Pierce, 58, of Clinton, MA, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his beloved family on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, after a courageous battle with ALS. He leaves his beloved wife of almost 30 years, Barbara M. Keith.
Marshall was born in Newton, MA, on July 30, 1962, a son of the late Emerson and Meredith (Marks) Pierce. Marshall was raised in Natick and was an alumni of Marian High School in Framingham. The son of a music instructor, Marshall inherited a passion for music and playing the guitar and singing that flourished throughout his life. He went on to study music at Berklee School of Music and later earned his bachelor’s of science in computer information technology from Regis College. He had a long and successful career at Hewlett Packard, where he was a Senior Software Developer. Marshall’s career brought him and his family to Colorado Springs where he and his family resided for seventeen years. While in Colorado Springs, Marshall began his own video editing company and also accepted a position at KKTV television station as a News Editor. He eventually moved back to Massachusetts along with his family, where they lived in Marlborough for 9 years, before finally settling in their home in Clinton 3 years ago.
True to his Bostonian background, Marshall was a diehard New England Patriots and Boston Bruins fan. He was a great person and an amazing husband, father and grandfather. Marshall will be dearly missed by his many friends and family.
In addition to his beloved wife, Barbara M. Keith, he is survived by his son, Brendan Pierce and his wife Nicole LeBlanc; his daughter, Kilian Pierce; his sister, Rowena Keith and her husband Martin C. Keith; his brother, Warner Pierce; his grandson, Byron Pierce; his nieces, Ana (Jayson) Plourde, Shannon and Erin Keith: his nephew, Devin Keith (Samantha); his brother-in-law Barry Hobson; niece Rebecca (Christian) Anderson; nephew Paul Hobson; and brother and sister in-law Daniel Verrico and Jan Keith; his father in-law Paul Keith. Marshall was also predeceased by his sister, Naomi Hobson; and his nephew Thomas Hobson.
A celebration of Marshall’s life will be held at a later date. Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home is honored to be assisting with his arrangements.
