Mark Patrick Civetti of Coral Springs, Florida passed away on November 29, 2024 after a 4+ year fight with ALS. Born on October 10, 1945 in Oakland, California, Mark lived a life filled with passion and dedication for his family, hobbies, professions, prayer and friends. Mark was a lover of all sports throughout his life, playing golf, ice hockey, football, and he was an All-Star baseball player.

Mark began his career in golf as a caddy at Woodland Country Club in Newton, Massachusetts while also playing on his high school golf team. His caddy experience included working as the Caddy Counselor at the Oyster Harbors Country Club, winning the Cape Caddy Championship and caddying in the 1963 US Open.

As a lifelong professional golfer, Mark shared his love for the sport through his work at several country clubs including Fort Lauderdale Country Club, Inverrary, Broken Woods Country Club, and the Country Club of Coral Springs. He found tremendous fulfillment in teaching golf skills to many, including his children. Mark also valued his professional experience as a Code Enforcement Officer for the City of Coral Springs.

Mark leaves behind his loving wife Julie, his children Brandon, Luci, Jeffrey, and Caren, five grandchildren, his siblings Jay, Beth, and Susan, brother-in-law Brian, sister-in-law Mary, brother-in-law Pedro, and mother-in-law Cecile. His family was a source of immense pride and joy throughout his life.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 4:00 pm on Friday, January 17th, 2025, at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church (5980 N University Dr., Parkland, FL 33067).

The Civetti Family extends their heartfelt gratitude to ALL who offered care and support during this time. Donations in Mark’s memory may be made to Compassionate Care ALS (CCALS), a non-profit organization which provided tremendous support to Mark and his family, as well as many other families experiencing the struggles of ALS.
