In Loving Memory of Marian K. Fleming. Marian, beloved wife, mother, stepmother, sister, Mimi, and cherished friend to many, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2024. She bravely battled ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), demonstrating incredible strength and grace throughout her journey.

A beacon of warmth and love, Marian touched countless lives with her culinary talents, her gift for entertaining, and her unwavering love for the beach. Her culinary creations brought joy to all fortunate enough to taste them, while her vibrant spirit lit up every gathering she hosted. Whether preparing a feast or sharing stories by the shore, she infused every moment with her infectious laughter and boundless love for life. She was an avid tennis spectator and Patriots fan. Marian worked for many years at Doukakis – Corsetti Insurance Agency alongside her lifelong friend Sandy Powell.

Marian is survived by her loving husband , Russell J. Fleming. She was a loving mother to Erin Djelassi (Ben) of Norwell, MA. Sean Foley (Marie) Belchertown, MA. Stepchildren Erin Knowles (Andy), of Milton, MA, James Fleming (Eileen), of Darien, CT, and John Fleming (Lindsey) of Houston, TX. Marian was a proud Mimi to, Kendall, Addison, Olivia, Noah, Audrey, Finn, Ronan, Cooper, Mary, Durham, Dryden and Cullen. Mimi delighted in watching her grandchildren grow and learn. Her family meant the world to her, and her legacy of love and resilience will continue to inspire all who knew her.

Marian is predeceased in death by her first husband Thomas Foley, her parents Margaret and Everett Kimball of Stoneham, MA. Her sister Jane Kimball, of Reading MA. Her brother Phil Kimball (Tristina) of Beverly, MA, brother Ted Kimball, Reading, MA.

Marian is survived by her loving sister Harriet (Billy) Mearls, of Woburn, MA, brother Buddy Kimball of Clinton, MA, sister Ginger Kimball, of Palm Springs, CA, brother Joe Kimball of Ayer, MA, brother Dick Kimball of Lynn, MA.

Marian was a testament to courage, kindness, and the joy of simple pleasures. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was especially appreciative of her friend, neighbor and caretaker Aeny Byrne. She was the epitome of kindness and love throughout Marian’s illness.

A memorial service to celebrate Marian’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the CCALS in honor of Marian’s memory. Please see www.ccals.org.
