Leominster – Margaret Ann (Flanagan, Williams) St-Laurent, 68 years old of Leominster, died December 29, 2021 after a courageous battle with ALS at home surrounded by her loving family.

Margaret was born January 19, 1953 in Leominster, the daughter of James and Julia (Ashe) Flanagan. She leaves her loving and devoted husband Ronald St-Laurent who was her loving and dedicated caregiver. She leaves her three sons, John M. Williams and wife Tracy and their three children Meghan, Julia and Ian of Ft. Collins, CO, Ryan F. Williams and his wife Caroline and their three sons Daniel, Aiden and Finn of West Boylston, and Seamus R. Williams and his partner Ailin Ramos and their two daughters Naomi and Ariella of Worcester. She also leaves three brothers and three sisters, James J. Flanagan and his wife Donna of Milford, MA, Robert J. Flanagan of Gardner, Michael T. Flanagan of Leominster, Mary E. Flanagan of Holden, Julia A. Connery and her husband Mark of Hubbardston, and Kate A. Flanagan of Leominster. She also leaves many cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her doting grandparents, Francis and Mary (Kangas) Ashe, Patrick and Etta (Wiles) Flanagan and two brothers Matthew F. Flanagan and Patrick J. Flanagan and her mother Julia (Ashe) Flanagan and her father James P. Flanagan.

Margaret graduated from Leominster High School in 1971. She continued her education attending Mount Wachusett Community College where she earned her Associate in Science for Business Administration Career Curriculum and Fitchburg State University where she earned BS in Business Administration Marketing. Margaret began her career as a Program Coordinator and Tutor at Leominster High School CTE where she worked for ten years before moving onto Mount Wachusett Community College where she was Case Manager for Dislocated Workers Services. Before her retirement Margaret served for fourteen years as the Service Coordinator of the Allencrest Community Center at the Leominster Housing Authority. Margaret was the family genealogist collecting documents, photos, and personal stories of the Flanagan and Ashe families dating back to the 1700’s. She was proud to be of Finnish and Irish descent and her pride shined through in her careful and detailed genealogical documentation, which will be passed onto future generations to come.

Margaret enjoyed spending time with her loving husband Ron. Their love for each other was beyond measure. They enjoyed traveling, kayaking, bird watching and enjoying time with their grandchildren.

A funeral service for Margaret will be held on Saturday, January 8 at 10:00am at United Methodist Church, 77 Hall Street, Leominster. Visitation hours at the Church are 9:00am-10:00am. Burial will be held at a later date.
