Marcia Gayle Zeamer passed away peacefully on March 4, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.

Marcia was born on April 12th, 1950 to Barbara and Jay Zeamer Jr. in Hartford, Connecticut. She was a lover of animals and spent a portion of her childhood frolicking in the pastures with her favorite pets, Paula her angus cow, which awarded her ribbons in the 4-H club, Red, and Carry-on her horses which brought her joy participating in the hunt and pony clubs while growing up in Groton, Massachusetts.

She graduated from the University of Maine with a degree in early childhood development in 1973. She was a gifted teacher and loved children. She spent much of her adult years participating in the lives of her nieces and nephews whom she adored.

She spent many years traveling to remote areas in Cancun with her friend, camping and fishing as she explored nature and wildlife.

Marcia loved ballroom dancing and for many years could be found gliding across the dance floors at Boston’s Parker House. She will be remembered most for her quick wit and devious sense of humor.

She is survived by her mother Barbara Zeamer of Kittery Maine and four sisters, Jacque Damon, (Niven) of Eliot, Maine, Jayne Zeamer Tilley (James), of Winchester, Massachusetts, Susan Zeamer of Portland Maine, and Sandra Neubert, (Chris) of Sarasota Florida. She will be terribly missed by her 4 nephews, 3 nieces and great niece and nephews.

In lieu of flowers please send donations to Compassionate Care ALS, P.O. Box 1052, West Falmouth, MA 02574, who provided helpful care and services during her illness.
