TEWKSBURY: Lizanne “Liz” (Surette) Beaudoin, age 63, a resident of Tewksbury for 32 years, passed away at the Lowell General Hospital, following a courageous 16-year battle with A.L.S. on Friday, May 29, 2020.

She was the beloved wife of Alan D. Beaudoin with whom she celebrated their 17th wedding anniversary on May 4, 2020.

Born in Waltham on July 24, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Al Surette and the late Jeanne Garrett.

She was raised in Reading, attended Reading schools, and graduated from Pope John High School.

Following high school, she attended Regis College in Weston, where she received her Bachelor’s Degree, and the New England School of Law, where she received her Juris Doctorate Degree.

Prior to her diagnosis with A.L.S., Liz was employed as a Global Wholesale Director at Sprint Corporation. In addition, she was a passionate advocate, supporter and volunteer for the Perkins School for the Blind. Liz dedicated her life to helping others, especially children.

Liz enjoyed many activities especially shopping, traveling, entertaining, family trips to the beach, live music and attending her son’s sporting events.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Jared F. Sharifi and his wife Eugenia of Andover, and Justin A. Sharifi of Peabody; her granddaughter, Penelope Lizanne Sharifi of Andover; her aunts and uncle, Eula Walsh of Waltham, and Henry and Eva Walsh of Sandwich; her siblings, Shawn Garrett and his wife Tracy of Pelham, NH, Ed Garrett and his wife Cory of Pittstown, NJ, and Mary-Rose Jordan of Charlestown, along with many nieces and nephews.

Liz was the sister of the late Richard Garrett.

A private Funeral Mass for Liz to be celebrated at St. William’s Church, 1351 Main St., Tewksbury, followed by interment at St. Mary Cemetery, Tewksbury. Donations in her memory may be made to:
