Lisa P. Russell, in the arms of her family at her Chelmsford home, ended her battle with ALS on 17 October 2022. A celebration of Lisa’s life will be held at 9:30 AM on 29 October 2022 in the Tewksbury Country Club.

Lisa P. Russell was born on 10 October 1974 at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas to Air Force Captain James L. Putnam and Nancy M. Putnam. When she was 4 years old, her family moved their home to Washington and finally to Richland, Washington where Lisa completed high school.

In 1997, following graduation from the University of Washington, Lisa joined Grant Thornton LLP in the Boston office and became an Audit Services partner in 2014. Lisa and her teams provided audit services to a wide range of companies from start-ups to large multi-national manufacturing companies. She was known for her deep technical knowledge, integrity to the audit profession, dedication to client service, and as a coach and leader to her teams.

Lisa and Laurence “Mickey” Russell IV were married on 24 June 2000 and have two sons, Garrett (16) and Cedric (14). She was a devoted mother, wife, daughter, and sister.

To say that Lisa was an avid exercise enthusiast would be an understatement. She enjoyed skiing, long-distance bicycling, paddle boarding, and running. A proponent of healthy meals, she was an excellent chef. Lisa had an exceptional dry wit, was a skilled practitioner in the art of sarcasm, and always up to a verbal challenge. Lisa was always organized, no matter the task or situation.

Lisa was preceded in death by her grandparents and is survived by her husband Mickey, sons Garrett and Cedric, her mother Nancy Putnam, father James Putnam, and sister Carrie Putnam.

Several organizations provided tremendous aid during Lisa’s illness. In lieu of flowers donations may be made at: CCALS.org/donate. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the BLAKE CHELMSFORD FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen St., CHELMSFORD.
