Kim sadly lost her courageous battle with ALS on November 14, 2022, at the young age of 52.

She grew up in Richmond, MA and was a caring daughter, mother, sister and friend to all who knew her. Her infectious laughter and smile lit up a room and made anyone around her feel better. Kim loved nothing more than spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling and visiting relatives across the country and was not afraid to try new things. Kim was a great lover of animals and an unwavering fan of the Boston Red Sox. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends and all those touched by the wonderful person she was.

Our family and Kim’s friends witnessed CCALS to be exactly what the name says, compassionate and caring. The professionals there were so supportive and attentive responding to Kim’s needs at every phase of this unforgiving disease. Kim was provided with various devices and items to help make her life and care easier, including her first wheelchair, shower commode, power lift to move from seats, therapeutic oils, among many other things. Our hearts are also so grateful for the support of Michael Hodgkins of CCALS who went the extra mile to provide counseling and guidance to Kim and our family anytime we needed.

We could not have navigated all of this hardship without everyone’s help at CCALS. And this is why, in honor of Kim’s memory, we want to pay it forward and ask anyone who is able and willing to donate to help this greatly impactful organization:
