enneth Hardy, 65, of Norwood, passed away Friday, February 7, 2020, after an illness. Born on April 15, 1954 in Boston, he was the son of Francis W. and Thelma (Ziegler) Hardy. Mr. Hardy was raised and educated in Boston and moved to Norwood 33 years ago. He worked as an Orthotics Technician for AliMed, Inc., in Dedham, for thirty years until his retirement. Ken enjoyed music, food, celebrating holidays, and spending time with his family. He loved to play with all-things R/C and was an avid collector. He enjoyed many motorcycle rides with friends and doting on his canine companions, Tigger and Cocoa.
Ken is survived by his wife of 32 years, Theresa (Goggin) Hardy. He was the devoted father of Laurie Mathaisel and her husband Bryan Jr. of South Windsor, CT; beloved mother, Thelma Terpstra; loving brother of Richard Hardy of Norwood, Wayne Hardy and his wife Kathy of North Carolina, Ethel Schmitt and her husband Robert of New York, Douglas Hardy and his wife Anna of New York; proud grandfather of Bryan Mathaisel III. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, February 12, at 11AM at St. Catherine of Siena Parish, 547 Washington Street, Norwood. Burial will follow at The Gardens of Gethsemane Cemetery in West Roxbury. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 9:30-10:30AM at the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole Street, Norwood.
