Jill Ann Jaggars, 62, of Madison Township passed away peacefully Saturday evening at Hospice of the Sacred Heart Inpatient unit following a courageous battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. She is the wife of Randy J. Jaggars. The couple were to celebrate 36 years of marriage on September 9th.

Born June 6, 1963 in Scranton, she is the daughter of Simone B. (Harris) Gentile and the late Fred Gentile. Jill was a graduate of North Pocono High School, The University of Scranton, and prior to her illness was employed by the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter. She was previously employed as a paraprofessional with the North Pocono School District.

Jill was a member of St. Eulalia’s Church in Roaring Brook Township. Jill was devout in her Catholic faith and exemplified Christ’s love for others. She was a dedicated wife and mother, and her love for her family and friends knew no bounds. Jill had a joy for life and particularly cherished time spent with her loved ones, the beach, reading, playing board games, and her beloved beagle, Bo. She will be remembered by all who knew her for her kindness, humility, and courage.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all the medical professionals who cared for Jill, especially the 7th-floor nurses at St. Luke’s University Hospital, Bethlehem Campus, and Hospice of the Sacred Heart in Dunmore.

Surviving in addition to her husband and mother are her children: Nicholas F. Jaggars and wife Nicole of Lake Ariel, PA, Daniel J. Jaggars and wife Caitanne of Lansing, MI, and Rebecca A. Jaggars of Madison Township; her brothers: Jeffrey F. Gentile and wife Christine of Jefferson Township, and Gregory F. Gentile and wife Bridget of Jefferson Township; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Eulalia’s Church, 214 Blue Shutters Road, Roaring Brook Township, PA with Msgr. John W. Jordan as celebrant.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at St. Eulalia’s Church.

Interment and rite of committal will be conducted at St. Catherines Cemetery, Covington Township, PA.
