It is with great sorrow and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of a gentleman, James (Jumpin) Walter Feeley, 66, of Lee, on April 17, 2026.

Jim lost the battle with ALS, but not without being a warrior and fighting back and leaving us on his terms. During this battle right up to the end, Jim was making sure everyone else was being cared for, especially his cat Ollie!

Born December 8, 1959 to John and Janet Feeley he spent his life in Lee, graduated from Lee High in 1977, and attended Berkshire Community College. Jim was in banking for over 30 years, working his way up the ladder in various banks. He retired as an IT Specialist with Bank of America. After banking, he drove for Abbott’s Limousine for 5 years, which he truly loved and missed greatly when this disease took over.

Jim loved following sports, especially basketball. Jim also helped coach the Lee Lady Wildcats for 26 years. During that time, the team saw many division state finals, and several state championships.

Jim also traveled around the states with friends for vacations as well as participating in the USBC Open Championships in many states. He was very proud of the time he bowled a 300 game!

Jim is survived by his sister, Julie Ingram (Bill) who stayed by his side caring for him. Jim leaves his 2 nephews, Brandon and Colin Ingram (Kristen) and their children Chase and Violet. Jim also leaves his aunt Mary Jane Welch in SC, aunt Shirley Eichelser from Pittsfield and aunt Mary Tyer and uncle Bud Tyer in Lenox. Jim also leaves his god-daughter Camryn Biasin Labier. Jim leaves many cousins and many more friends whom he enjoyed taking vacations and spending time with.

To all the family, friends, neighbors, and care givers who reached out to Jim, bringing food, love, and music to the house, we thank you! The concerts were most enjoyed; and yes, you could feel the love in the room for Jim. Special thanks to the visiting nurse, Hospice Care, Mass General, and Mike from CC ALS.

Graveside services for Mr. Feeley will be held on Friday, April 24, at 11AM at Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Lee. Calling hours will be held on Thursday evening, from 4-6 at the Kelly Funeral Home, 3 Main Street, Lee, MA.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Compassionate Care ALS.
