George Francis Tucker, husband of Lise (Garand) Tucker, passed away after a long illness on September 23, 2024. They were married almost thirty years. George was born on October 25, 1953, to Mary Alice and George Francis Tucker Sr. in Lowell, MA. George was one of ten children. George had been a resident of Hudson, NH for over twenty-five years and a member of the New Life Christian Church in Hudson, NH for twenty years.
George was the most loving father “Dad” to three children: George and his wife Michelle Tucker, Laurie Descheneaux, and Lynn Rourke and her husband Kevin, grandfather “Grampa” to eight grandchildren: George “Cole” and Shamus Tucker; Tucker, Luke and Jake Descheneaux; Kaelyn, Ashley and Kevin Rourke Jr.. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Joanne Sullivan.
George was predeceased by two brothers, Brian and Stephen, two sisters, Carol Carleton and Elaine Howard, as well as a son in law, Ernest “Ernie” Descheneaux.
George’s surviving siblings include: a sister, Mary Gail Webster, a brother, Kevin Tucker and his wife Lucia, a sister, Brenda Shank, a sister, Susan Bosman, a sister Theresa Senio and her husband Larry, as well as two step sisters; Dot Sperounis and her husband Bill, Mary Ellen Nangle and her husband Kevin, and several nieces and nephews.
George started working at a very young age to help support the family. He was a commercial printer for over forty-five years and started his apprenticeship at Courier Corporation where he won many artistic awards at Souhegan Color. He was very proud of his children and grandchildren and loved spending time with them. Prior to his illness, he enjoyed woodworking, bowling and painting. He was well-versed in-home improvements and economics.
Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, September 26th from 4 pm – 7 pm at the Dumont-Sullivan Funeral Home 50 Ferry Street, Hudson, NH. A Christian service will take place on Friday, September 27th at 2pm at New Life Christian Church 272 Lowell Road, Hudson, NH. All are asked to please meet at church. A Graveside service will follow the church service and will be held in Hills Farm Cemetery, 160 Derry Road, Hudson, NH 0305.
