Gary Lee Alsheimer, age 57 years, of Plymouth, died Sunday, October 21, 2018, at his home, following a long battle with ALS. He was the son of Edward Alshemer of Plymouth and the late Celia (Howe) Alsheimer. Born and raised in Plymouth, Gary was a graduate of Plymouth-Carver High School, class of 1978. He worked as a Captain for the Captain John Boats in Plymouth for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed yardwork, keeping his lawn in shape, golfing and fishing. He was an avid sports fan, especially enjoying the New England Patriots. Gary enjoyed spending time with his friends, and playing with his grandsons. He was a member of Young America Club.

Besides his father, Gary is survived by his children, Taylor Robinson and her husband Neal of Myrtle Beach, Kendal Reid and her husband Donald of Carver and Michael Alsheimer of Plymouth, grandchildren, Logan Robinson, Emmett and Kaleb Reid, his brother Ronald Alsheimer and dear friends, Mary Warren, Jess Mack, Madison Mack, Dave Barofski, and Darlene Griffith-Cassiani. He was the brother of the late Russell Alsheimer.

Visiting hours with Gary’s family will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2018, from 4:00PM – 7:00PM in the DAVIS FUNERAL HOME, 373 Court Street (at Cordage Park) Plymouth. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to CCALS.org at P.O. Box 1052, West Falmouth, MA 02574.
