Edmund (Ed) Burke died at home on October 5, 2024. He was born in Holyoke, MA; son of the late Patrick and Esther (Menard) Burke.
Ed was a proud Veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was employed as an Inspector at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in East Hartford, CT for 28 years. He was a “Friend of Bill’s” for 44 years. He enjoyed working in his yard, wood crafts, and walks on Falmouth beaches.
Edmund is survived by his wife of 43 years Judith Chaples-Burke; his daughters Kimberlee Brennan and partner Bob O’Neil of Sutton, West Virginia, Kelley Assarian and her husband Greg Assarian of East Falmouth, MA; granddaughters Samantha Kane, Ashley Assarian, Meghan Brennan, and grandson Brian Brennan; and great granddaughter Jacqueline Kane. He also leaves sister Eileen La Pierre of Chicopee, MA.
A Memorial Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, October 15th at 1:45 PM at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA.
