Christine E. ‘Chris’ (Lander) Souza, of Lowell, formerly of Billerica passed away on November 1, 2023 at the age of 57 after gallantly fighting ALS for a long time. She was born January 5, 1966, to the late Harvey Lander & Mary (MacInnis).
She is survived by her partner Dave MacEachern of Chelmsford as well as her three children Ashley of Tyngsboro, Matthew, and Emily of Lowell from her former husband Stephen. Dear sister of the late Linda Fraize, and Nancy Cormier of Townsend, and Patricia Vivilecchia of Somers, CT. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews as she enjoyed all of the family get togethers.
Christine loved being athletic as she completed 2 Boston Marathons as well as other marathons and triathlons. She thoroughly enjoyed her work as an ABA Trainer and her time working with young kids in the classroom. She really was in her element doing this job as many of the kids thought of her as their best friend.
Family and friends may call at MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 NESMITH ST, LOWELL on WEDNESDAY, NOV. 8, 2023 from 5 until 8 PM. Christine’s funeral will begin on THURSDAY MORNING at 9:00 AM from the Funeral Home, followed by her FUNERAL MASS at 10:00 AM at ST THERESA’S CHURCH 466 Boston Road, Billerica. Burial will take place in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica. As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Christine’s memory to Compassionate Care ALS www.ccals.org.
