Carol (Daly) Hurley, 89, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on December 6, 2025.

Born on December 26, 1935, in Holyoke, MA and a graduate of Holyoke High School, Carol met her future husband Eddie -the love of her life- in 1950. Welcoming their son Ed in 1957 and daughter Cathy in 1960, they raised their family in Holyoke before later living in Pittsfield and Wilbraham. They also cherished spending summers with extended family on Cape Cod and in retirement Carol and Ed enjoyed winters at Amelia Island FL, truly their “happy place”.

Radiant inside and out, Carol – a former flight attendant for TWA- was always impeccably dressed. Her ever-present smile and warm, engaging personality would effortlessly light up every room she entered. A woman of deep faith, Carol lived her life according to the teachings and values of Catholicism, but it will be her unyielding devotion to family and friends that will define Carol’s legacy of love, compassion, and patience.

Carol is survived by her devoted son Ed Hurley of West Yarmouth and daughter-in-law Sue.

She was called home to be reunited with her beloved daughter Cathy Nally (John) who passed in 2022 along with her late husband of 65 years, Eddie, who predeceased her in 2021.

Affectionately known as “Daisy”, Carol is also survived by five loving grandchildren: Patrick Hurley (Grace) of Atlantic Beach, FL; Caitlin Gibbs (Jon) of Plainville; Matt Hurley (Chelsea) of North Attleboro; Danny Nally (Mike) of South Boston and Betsy McKenna (Dan) of Walpole. Daisy was also blessed by the love and joy of six great grandchildren: Tyler, Bryce, Beau, Brody, Riley and Sloane.

Carol shared a lifetime of love with her sisters- in-law Anne-Marie Sullivan (Mike) and Mary Eileen Mealey, called home earlier this year, and her beloved brother Eddie Daly who passed away in 2022. The daughter of Lena (Achnick) and Ed Daly, Carol was predeceased by two other siblings: Billy and Ruth. She also leaves behind many devoted and loving nieces and nephews.

Carol was very grateful for the loving care and compassionate support she received in recent years from everyone at Sturdy Health, Christopher Heights of Attleboro, Bristol Hospice and Madonna Manor.

Family and friends are invited to attend visitation on Friday, December 19, 2025, from 8:30 am until 10:30 am in the “Memorial Chapel” of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 19, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Transfiguration of the Lord Parish at St Mary’s Church, Park Street, North Attleboro, MA.

The Funeral Mass can be viewed from the church website: www.saintmaryna.com or the church’s Facebook page.

Burial will be private in Mount Hope Cemetery and Arboretum, North Attleboro, MA where she will be laid to rest with her beloved husband.

In lieu of flowers, it was Carol’s request that gifts be made to Compassionate Care ALS,

P.O. Box 1052, West Falmouth, MA 02574 (ccals.org) in memory of her daughter Cathy’s courageous and inspirational battle against ALS.
