Manchester by the Sea – Steven J. Bang 64, husband of the late Suzanne King, died Friday, December 7, 2018 at his home surrounded by his dear friends.

Born in Brooklyn, NY he was the son of Analee (Mass) Bang of Watertown, NY and the late Hans Bang. He earned his degree in engineering from The Citadel in South Carolina.

An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country during Desert Storm as a United States Army Ranger.

A resident of Manchester by the Sea for the past six years and prior to that Stoneham and Boston, Steven travelled throughout the world as a young man. He was an avid horseman, enjoyed scuba diving and riding motorcycles. His passion for karate earned him a 6th degree black belt. He had a love for animals, especially his horses and dogs. Steven was a loving son, brother, godfather and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a sister, Deborah Bang of Virginia Beach, VA, a brother, John Bang of Watertown, NY, his girlfriend, Elizabeth O’Toole, and many dear friends.

Visiting hours will be held at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, Wednesday, December 12, 2018 from 4 to 7 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
