WOLFSON, Arthur H. Of West Newton on Sunday, May 5, 2019. Devoted husband of Lanette Marsh. Loving father of Miriam Wolfson, Jonathan Wolfson and Susan Wolfson and fond father figure to Jonathan Pava. Proud uncle of Martin, Meryl, and Karen Wolfson; Michael, Howard, and Jeffrey Kaufman; and Marlene Sigel and Terry Dubow. Cherished brother of the late Eli Wolfson, Ben Wolfson, Sylvia Kaufman and Eleanor Aronin and brother-in-law of Libby Wolfson, Lew Aronin, and the late Emma Wolfson, and Sol Kaufman.
Arthur graduated with a B.S. in electrical engineering and MBA from Harvard University and put his engineering skills to good use and later reinvented himself to work in the computer field. He was a lifelong learner and a renaissance scholar, taking classes at BU and Harvard well into his later years. More importantly, he was a kind and gentle spirit with a smile and compassion for everyone he knew, and always wanting to help and be there for others.
Services at Temple Emanuel, 385 Ward Street, Newton on Tuesday, May 7 at 1:00pm. Interment at Lindwood Memorial Park, Randolph. Memorial observance at the home of Susan Wolfson following the burial through 9pm and continuing Wednesday & Thursday from 1-3 & 7-9pm.
