Annette Marie Dann passed away August 30, 2020, surrounded by her loving family and friends, after a courageous battle with ALS.

Annette was born December 2, 1952 in Gloucester to Preston and Margaret Dann, the first of three Dann children. She was raised in Rockport and resided there on and off her entire life. She truly loved her small town. Annette was a loving and fiercely independent mother to her two daughters, an inspiring older sister, a fun loving Aunt and a loyal and caring friend to many.

Annette had a comedic repertoire like no other. She had the uncanny ability to make anyone laugh at any time, a talent which she credits her late father Preston with. She loved to spend quality time with friends and family, and was often considered the “glue” that held them together. In addition to her family and friends, she was brought great joy by animals, orangutans in particular. These animals brought her much solice in her last months.

She is survived by her daughter Ashley and husband Tom, who she considered a son; her beloved daughter Olivia; her mother Margaret Lane; sister Debra Dann and fiancé Charles; brother Greg; and her very special cousin, who she loved like a brother, Steve Emery and his wife Sioban and many nephews, nieces
and even a great niece, Calogera Rose. She was predeceased by her father Preston Hollis Dann.

Her graveside service will be held privately and a Celebration of Life will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to CCALS.org. Arrangements are by the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington St. Gloucester. Online condolences may be given at: www.greelyfuneralhome.com.
