Pastor Chris and Katani Sumner are native Bostonians with a passion for Faith, Family and Community. They have both been vocal advocates for young people, and for those who have been marginalized or whose voices have been unheard. Chris' passion has been as a servant leader throughout Boston for many years ranging from Executive Director of the Blue Hills Boys & Girls Club, Executive Pastor at Jubilee Christian Church, and his most recent position as the Executive Director of the Melnea Cass Recreation Complex and the Dillaway-Thomas Roxbury Heritage Park. Married since 1985, Chris and Katani were drawn together as musicians and athletes with a passion for helping young and mature people achieve the purpose God has intended for them. Propelled into Purpose will be a night of sharing our story and how ALS will not steal our Joy and how we are believing that God still has great plans for us on this unexpected chapter in our lives.
