My father, David Adamian, was diagnosed with ALS in 2021. Throughout the progression of his illness CCALS was an incredible support and resource to him and to our family. Remaining active through his illness was important to him so he, my brother, and I ran the Falmouth Road Race in 2023 to raise money for CCALS. I am very grateful that my fiancée, Ridd, was able to meet him before he passed in 2024, and that she had the idea to make fundraising for ALS a part of our wedding.

Get your tickets to the fourth annual ShuckALS! This year's event is on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at the Cape Playhouse Lawn. Join the Lambton Family and CCALS Founder/CEO Ron Hoffman for a night of oysters, live music, and dancing.
ShuckALS is an oyster fest founded by the Lambton family and CCALS Founder/CEO Ron Hoffman in 2023 that is dedicated to uniting their love of seafood, music, and philanthropy in support of Compassionate Care ALS.
Your general admission ticket gives you access to oysters, a raw bar and drinks, ensuring you can savor the finest flavors of the sea to your heart's content. An additional food truck will be in attendance for those who prefer something a little different.
As the sun sets, a live band will perform and transform the event into an unforgettable night. Participate in our silent auction for exclusive items and a wine toss for a chance to win a bottle of wine; your contributions directly benefit Compassionate Care ALS, an organization providing vital support to people diagnosed with ALS, their families, healthcare providers, and communities.

Stroll & Roll

Join us for Stroll & Roll on October 17, 2026, a 2-mile walk in support of Compassionate Care ALS (CCALS). The walk will kick off from Bourne Farm in North Falmouth, MA at 11 AM, followed by a fun-filled gathering with food trucks, games, face painting, and live music. Accessible Yoga Fundraiser in memory of Lisa Borlen

We would like to invite you to a Fundraiser to honor Lisa Borlen. All funds will be donated to Compassionate Care ALS in Lisa’s name.
For people living with ALS, their families and supporters. All are welcome!
We will be offering a 60-minute Accessible/Somatic Yoga class. People can practice in a chair, using the wall or on a mat. Gentle yoga postures will be offered along with somatic movements to help us connect with our body and release built up tension and stress. We will offer simple movements, body awareness exercises, breathwork and moments of stillness. The final 10 minutes will be open to anyone who would like to share a memory of Lisa. Lisa was an avid Yoga practitioner and I was honored to be her teacher for 6 years.
No experience or flexibility needed. You will decide how to customize your practice. Come in comfortable clothes and be ready to move, breathe and connect with your body.

In Memory of Michele Frechette
Michele Marie (Leland) Frechette entered the world on January 18, 1972, and she was a force to be reckoned with from day one. Fiercely determined and independent, Michele lived life on her own terms. She had a great career, many wonderful friends, and a love of travel—and travel she did! She even hiked the Camino de Santiago alone.
She had an amazing life, until ALS took over—and it took over fast. Going from complete independence, living alone, traveling the world, and, oh yeah, being a serious foodie…to suddenly needing care, moving home with family, and no longer being able to eat all the foods she loved was devastating. (That might have been the worst part for her! 😉
Michele was diagnosed with ALS on October 31, 2018, and passed away on August 1, 2019. At the time of her diagnosis, she was living in California. She had to sell most of her belongings and make the difficult trip home to Maine to be cared for by her family.
Once she had her team in place at MGH, genetic testing was done. To our shock, we discovered that our family carries the C9ORF72 gene.
We were introduced to Compassionate Care ALS (CCALS), and we were so grateful for their support. Unfortunately, Michele passed away so quickly that we did not need CCALS for very long, but the impact they had on my family was enormous. Their mission touched all of us, and I am incredibly grateful that we have the opportunity to give back to an organization that was there for us during such a difficult time.
