William Joseph Dias, Jr., 62, of New Bedford passed away Saturday January 24, 2015 peacefully at home surrounded by his family from complications from ALS. He was the husband of Sandra M. (Curry) Dias. Born in New Bedford, the son of the late William J. and Emily (Berry) Dias, he was raised in Dartmouth and lived in New Bedford and Fairhaven for many years.

Mr. Dias was formerly employed as a commercial fisherman.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Todd G. Dias, Jacob W. Dias and his wife Kerri, and Lee R. Dias and his wife Nicole; his siblings, Joseph Dias, John Dias, and Elizabeth Besse; his mother-in-law, Florence Curry; and four grandchildren, Noah, Jack, Abigail, and Wyatt.

He was the brother of the late Edith Meyer, and son-in-law of the late Richard L. Curry.

His Memorial Service will be held on Saturday at 9 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Fairhaven.
