Paul E. Dussault, 72, of Mashpee, MA, died peacefully in the early morning hours on Monday, October 26, 2015, at the Cape Cod Hospital after a lengthy battle with renal and liver disease. Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, on October 31, 1942, he was the son of Maurice and Yvonne (Smith) Dussault.
Upon graduating from high school in Pawtucket, he went to Northeastern University and graduated from the New England School of Pharmacy in 1966.
He opened the Falmouth Prescription Center in 1974 and had the business until 2008. Throughout those years, he also opened the East Falmouth Prescription Center, Personal Care Center, and the Chemist Shoppe. He provided IV therapy beginning in 1995 and built the first clean room in the state of Massachusetts in 1996. He started the Infusion Network for the Cape and Islands in 2002 and sold the business to Home Solutions in 2008 when he retired. He served on the Advisory Committee for the newly formed Falmouth Free Clinic and the Cape Cod Healthcare Board. He also volunteered for Hospice. After retiring as a Pharmacist, he enjoyed working for a short while as a sales associate at Kinlin Grover Real Estate in Falmouth.
Having survived a bone marrow transplant for non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 1989, Paul and his wife Rita enjoyed many years of boating, traveling across country in their RV, playing golf, and spending time with friends and family.
He leaves his wife, Rita of 24 years, 4 daughters and their spouses, Sharon Haddad (& Steven), Janet Maund (& Greg), Julie McCarthy (& Flory), Amy Millisor, 2 stepsons and their spouses, Brett Maxwell (& fiancé Jessica Brown), Gregory Maxwell (& Joan Brazier), 15 grandchildren: Caleigh, Meghan, Elliot, Abbie, Ava, Simone, Keelin, Leah, Flory, Claire, Grady, Seamus, Phoebe, Alex and Teague. He also leaves his sister, Joan Reece and her husband Bill, his brother, Robert Dussault and his wife Anne, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son-in-law Robert Alan Millisor and grandson Jack Cooper Millisor.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 29th at 1pm in the Church of the Messiah, 22 Church St, Woods Hole, MA. A celebration of life will follow at the Falmouth Yacht Club. Burial will be private.
