LEOMINSTER — Paul Alan Lister, 76, of Leominster and Falmouth Heights, MA, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 12, 2012 surrounded by his family.
Paul was born in Leominster on December 8, 1935, son of the late Robert and Helen (Boissoneau) Lister.
He worked for Massachusetts Electric Company for 40 years, retiring in 1998.
He served his country in the U.S. Army in the HFC 26th Aviation Battalion and then joined the U.S. Air Force, where he served for 20 years in the 85th APS out of Hanscom Air Force Base.
Paul had a passion for, and was well known for collecting antique cars. He was very proud of many things in his life, including his military career and his Leominster Community, but most of all he was proud of his family and friends, whom he loved very much.
He leaves his loving wife, Sheila (Rocca) Lister; daughter, Dianne Lister Conover and her husband, Gerret and their children, Caroline and Katherine of Edgartown; son, Jonathan Lister and his wife, Lucia and their children, Joseph and Michael of Acton; brother, Robert Lister and his wife, Evelyn of Florida; sister, Sheilah Cosimi and her husband, Bary of Leominster; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister Maureen Lister.
LISTER — The funeral will be held from Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg, on Saturday, March 17, 2012 with a Mass in St. Leo’s Church, 128 Main St., Leominster at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 6-8 P.M. on Friday, March 16 in the funeral home.
