Obituary: Judy A. (Joyce) Fahey

Fahey, Judy A. (Joyce) of Naples, Florida passed away on Aug. 16, 2015 at her summer residence in North Falmouth, Massachusetts, surrounded by her family. She was 72.

Born in Aurora, Illinois, Judy also lived in Chicago and suburbs (Palatine and Barrington), Cleveland and Columbus, Ohio, Pittsburgh, and Larchmont, New York. She was a graduate of St. Edwards High School in Elgin, Illinois, attended St. Xavier College in Chicago for two years and received a BS in Education from the University of Illinois. After a brief teaching career she was a homemaker and involved in many charitable activities. She was an active member of the Christ Child Society chapters in Columbus, Pittsburgh, and Naples. She founded the Pittsburgh chapter and served as its president, later serving as co-president of the Naples chapter.

Judy was the beloved wife of Thomas E. Fahey for 51 years and was the loving mother of Kathleen Moren (Michael), Kerry Thiede (James), Christine Fahey, and Patricia Wind (Gregory). Grandmother of eleven – Hugh, Daniel, Michael, and Timothy Moren; Charlie and Brady Thiede; Molly and Meaghan Delahunty; Hannah, Henry, and Leo Wind. Sister-in-law of James (Mary), Phillip, Terry, and Aurora Fahey and Kathleen Aloisio (nee Fahey) (Jeff). Predeceased by brothers in law Kevin and Rory Fahey. Aunt of Matthew, Nathaniel, Adam and Kathryn Fahey, and Peter Aloisio. Cousin of Richard and David Watson, Patricia Groen (nee McElhoes), Joan Loomis (nee McElhoes), Kerry Ilkanic (nee McElhoes), and Don McElhoes. Predeceased by her parents Thomas Joyce and Isabel Glover, Uncles Don Joyce (Isabel) and William Joyce, Aunt Winifred Joyce Watson and cousins William and Gertrude Watson, Don and Joyce McElhoes (nee Watson).

Her funeral will be from the Eaton & Mackay Funeral Home 465 Centre St. Newton Corner, Newton, Ma. Thurs. Aug 20, 2015 11 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady Help of Christians Church at 12:00 Noon. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours Wed 4-8 PM. Private Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Falmouth, Ma. Fri Aug 21, 2015. A Memorial Service will be scheduled in Naples. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to www.ccals.org.
