1942 – 2014

TRUBIANO, John R. 71, a longtime resident of Sudbury, MA passed away peacefully on January 14, 2014 in the presence of his family.

John was born on April 14, 1942 in Somerville, MA. He was the son of the late Romeo J. and Antoinette M. (Angelini) Trubiano. He was predeceased by his older sister, Rosalie A. Sullivan and her husband Francis X., formerly of Andover, MA. He is survived by his younger sister, Gail V. Walsh and her husband Jack of Stoneham, MA. John was the beloved husband of over 51 years to Mary Ruth (Drago) Trubiano. He was a devoted father to his daughter and son-in-law Linda Ann and Brian A. Conroy of Falmouth, ME and son and daughter-in-law John Nicholas and Antonia M. (Micheli) Trubiano of Groton, MA. John, known as “Papa”, was the cherished grandfather to Caitlin, Kelsey and Kevin Conroy, Marissa and Adrianna Trubiano.

John was a 1960 graduate of Medford High School and graduated from Northeast Institute of Industrial Technology. He worked at Digital Equipment Corporation for 30 years. He focused on Quality Assurance Engineering and Management Systems and, after retiring from Digital, he was a Quality Assurance Management Consultant for 20 years. He was an American Society for Quality Fellow and co-authored the book Demystifying ISO 9001:2000. Most importantly, John was a dedicated family man and loved annual family vacations with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed swimming, tennis, camping, boating, music and dancing.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 18, 2014 from the Duckett-J. S. Waterman & Sons Home of Memorial Tribute, 656 Boston Post Road (Rt. 20), SUDBURY, at 9:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 160 Concord Road, Sudbury at 10:00 oclock. Visiting hours will be at the funeral home Friday, January 17, from 4:00-8:00 PM. Interment will be at Wadsworth Cemetery, Sudbury.
