Milford, NH — John J. Coleman, 51, resident of Milford, NH died on October 8, 2013, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Lynn, MA on December 23, 1961, a son of Margaret (Wilkins) Coleman of Lynn, MA and the late Daniel Coleman. He was raised and educated in Lynn, MA and made his home in Milford, NH for the past 18 years.

John was self-employed as a tractor trailer driver for more than 25 years. He enjoyed working on his truck, snowmobiling and vacationing with his family at Lake Winnipesaukee. In addition, John was known for the annual New Year’s bonfire at his home. He was an avid Patriots and Bruins fan.

John was a loving husband, a devoted father and son.

In addition to his mother, family members include his wife of 21 years, Jeanne (Walters) Coleman of Milford; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jason T. and Andrea Walters of Wilton, NH, Joseph D. Coleman of Milford, NH; a sister and brother-in-law, Sheila and John Darsney of Salem, MA; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Daniel and Paula Coleman of Groveland, MA, Kevin and Ann Coleman of Leon, MI; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours are on Monday, October 14th from 2-4 & 6-8 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 am in St. John Neumann Church, 708 Milford Road, Route 101A, Merrimack, NH. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Milford. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Compassionate Care ALS, P.O. Box 1052, West Falmouth, MA 02574. Arrangements are in the care of Smith & Heald Funeral Home, Milford.
