TEWKSBURY-Glen L. Thomas, 58, died peacefully, Tuesday, October 10th after a hard fought battle with ALS. He was the beloved husband of Cheryl Marland-Thomas. Glen lived a life devoted to his family and work. In years after the birth of their two sons, Glen could often be found at a local baseball diamond or just beyond the outside lane of a track cheering on his boys. Even after his diagnosis, Glen would not let a disease or wheelchair stand in the way of his passion for life. He continued to work, saw his youngest son graduate college, traveled the coast of California, attended a Dallas Cowboy’s game in Dallas and most recently visited Loudon, NH for a NASCAR Race.
Glen was born in Needham, on August 5, 1959 the son of Louise (Reynolds) Thomas, of St. Petersburg, Fla., and the late Richard Thomas. He graduated from Holbrook High School and he also graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell in 1983. He was employed as an Engineer for the Sanblaze Technology Co., of Littleton, Ma for the past 7 years.
Besides his wife Cheryl, Glen is survived by and will be deeply missed by his 2 sons: Kyle and Cory Thomas both of Tewksbury, Ma., his mother Louise Thomas of Florida and his 3 brothers: Jeff Thomas of Barnstable, Lance Thomas and Paulette Rio of Hyannis, David and Robynne Thomas of Sandwich and Glen’s sister Heide Miur and her partner Brett Cazazza of Seminole, Florida. His last message to all was to live life passionately and never give up regardless of the circumstances.
Arrangements: All that knew him are invited to join the family in celebrating his life on Saturday, October 21st, from 1 – 5PM at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Ave., Dracut, Ma. His funeral service will be held at 4PM in the funeral home, all invited.
