Obituary: Ezekiel R. Peach, Jr.

PEACH, Ezekiel R., Jr. Beloved husband of 51 years to Barbara A. (Collins) Peach of Marblehead, passed away peacefully at home on June 20, 2015 after a lengthy and courageous battle with ALS. He was 81 years old.

Zeke graduated from Marblehead High School in 1952, Norwich University in 1956, and the Bentley School of Accounting in 1962. He was a member of the American Institute of CPAs and a 30-year partner of the Boston accounting firm Robert, Finnegan & Lynah. In addition he was a trustee of the Salem Five Bank and several private trusts. Active in a number of philanthropic and social organizations, Zeke was a member and treasurer of the Society of Colonial Wars in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for 16 years. He was also a member of Boston Rotary, the Philanthropic Lodge of Masons, and the Marblehead Yacht Club.

Zeke was the son of the late Ezekiel R. and Jessie (Stewart) Peach and brother of the late Rosamond S. Merrill. In addition to his wife, Zeke is survived by two sons, E. Russell Peach, IV of Marblehead and Andrew C. Peach of New York and Vermont; Russell’s wife Susan and their daughters, Sarah and Grace, and several nieces and nephews.
