Estelle Marie (Luvisi) Beriau, 90
West Harwich, MA – Estelle Beriau passed away peacefully on December 23rd in her home surrounded by her family. She was a loving and adoring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend.
She was born on January 1st, 1927, in Shrewsbury, MA. She graduated from Commerce High and Salter Secretarial School. She married her husband, Theodore (Ted) Beriau Sr. in 1948 and put her career on hold to raise her three children. When she chose to resume work, she started in the Worcester Public Schools, eventually becoming the secretary to the Superintendent of Worcester Public Schools. Her work ethic, organizational and people skills led to her becoming the secretary to three mayors of Worcester: Joseph Tinsley, John Anderson and Timothy Cooney.
When she and Ted retired, they fulfilled a lifelong dream of moving to Cape Cod where their home was always open to family and friends.
Estelle had many interests: among them a love of travel (especially to her beloved Italy, home of her ancestors), being by the ocean, reading, music, she loved writing cards and letters. Most of all she loved to make others happy, her caring and generosity flowed beyond her family and touched everyone she met from waitresses to people she met in planes, stores, or on the beach.
She was predeceased by her parents, Louis J. and Victoria (Benedictus); her brother Louis, and her beloved son, Theodore F. Beriau Jr. She is survived by the love of her life and husband of 69 years, Theodore F. Beriau Sr; a sister, Virginia and the late Rudolph Castagna; a son, David and his wife, Helene Beriau; their children, Clea and Taliesin Beriau; a daughter Nancy (Beriau) Molinari and her husband, Libero; their children, Daniel and Danielle Molinari and family: Melanie (Molinari) Lizotte and husband Sean and family: Heather (Molinari) Penney and husband Nelson and family; Thomas and Danielle Molinari and family; the children of Ted Jr: Theodore J. and MaryEllen Beriau and family;Tina (Beriau) Gillaspie and husband Scott and family, Theodore F. Beriau Jr’s wife, Barbara Beriau and her children Breanna (Dwyer) Powell, Cailin and Taya Dwyer and their families. In addition, she is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Holy Trinity Church, West Harwich, MA. with a Celebration of Life following the Mass.
